About
Kate Boulay’s research and teaching interests center on visual culture(s) and Critical Theory, with a special emphasis on documentary cinema and photography of sub-Saharan Africa, medicine’s visual culture and whiteness.
She teaches in UIC’s First Year Writing Program, has won a number of awards for teaching and has taught in Ireland, Britain and the United States.
