December 6th, 2023 update:  Submissions for the Spring 2024 edition are now open! Please scroll to the very bottom of this page to access the submission form. Multiple submissions of any kind are welcome.  The deadline for all submissions is March 17th, 2023 at 11:59 pm and can not be extended for any reason. Seclected submitters will be notified via email by a member of our editorial board.  Any further updates will be posted here. Thank you & happy creating! We look forward to seeing your work.

November 18, 2023 update:  The Fall 2023 edition is available for purchase until December 8th! Copies can be purchased by placing an order over the phone at 312-413-5500 or in-person at UIC’s Bookstore. Shipping is available for an additional fee. See below for links to more information.  Thank you for your support at our book launch and your continued enthusiasm about our journal! We are very excited to share this volume with you and look forward to beginning the Spring 2024 edition. About Us  Graphê is a journal of writing and art that brings together selected works from young adults at universities across Chicago, produced by a collaborative team of students and faculty at UIC.   We welcome pieces of any length, form, and content from any undergraduate student in the city. Not sure if your work qualifies for Graphê? Submit anyway! We want to feature & uplift all kinds of stories, voices, ideas, and talents.

  • You will be notified via email if your work is selected for publication.
  • Max. file size: 15 MB.
    Visual submissions are ideally 600 DPI minimum. If you are submitting artwork, please ensure your file is the largest size and highest quality it can be. Submissions less than 600 DPI will still be considered but are less likely to be chosen.
  • Please tell us a bit about the work that you are submitting and if there is anything else you would like us to know. If selected, this information will be used in the Summary of Works section at the back of the journal. PLEASE NOTE: VISUAL SUBMISSIONS MUST AT LEAST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A DESCRIPTION OF MEDIUM(S) USED.
