About
Many English majors wonder how they will use their writing, research, and analytical skills after graduation. As coordinator of internships, Linda Landis Andrews provides a link for students between academe and the professional world of work. Drawing on her experience as a writer for the Chicago Tribune and a communications officer for First Chicago, she helps students find internships that fit their interests, teaches a class that informs their internship, and coaches students on professions in media, business, healthcare, law, or the non-profit area. Alums who have been interns frequently speak to her class, offering their perspectives on success and expanding the network of current English majors. She is a graduate of Marquette University and earned her master’s degree in creative writing at UIC.
