Professor and Dept Head Lisa Freeman Named President’s Executive Leadership Program Fellow
Lisa Freeman, Professor and Head of the English Department, has been named one of a handful of the 2021 Fellows of the President's Executive Leadership Program (PELP). PELP is a University of Illinois system-wide program that is "designed to broaden participants’ understanding of higher education issues and to strengthen their leadership skills related to overseeing a public institution at the university or system level. The program consists of four seminars that take place in Chicago, Springfield, Urbana-Champaign and Washington, D.C."
Professor Freeman is one of only six UIC administrators and faculty selected for this "unique professional development" program, out of over 70 applicants.
