Prof. Lisa Freeman named a Chawton House Library Fellow for 2015-2016

Professor Lisa Freeman has been named a Chawton House Library Visiting Fellow for 2015-2016.  Chawton House was the  home of Jane Austen's brother Edward, and  she wrote many of her novels while she stayed there and in the local village. The Library’s remarkable collection of books focuses on women’s writing in English from 1600 to 1830. Professor Freeman will be in residence at Chawton during the month of February and will be researching a new project titled: Mrs. Inchbald's Remarks:  A Theatrical and Cultural History.
