PhD Student Dez Brown Gets Hon. Mention for Prestigious Ford Foundation Award
Deziree A. Brown, a student pursuing a PhD in creative writing with a concentration in Gender and Women's Studies, has been named one of 465 Honorable Mentions for 2020 Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship.
The Ford Foundation awards fellowships to scholars from the life sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, and social sciences for predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral work. The fellowships are highly competitive, receiving between 12,000 and 16,000 applications each year.
