Charitianne Williams is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department and Assistant Director/Graduate Support Liaison at the UIC Writing Center. She specializes in multilingual composition instruction and writing center theory. Her research focuses on multilingual and English language learning student development in composition classrooms and writing centers, specifically in terms of best practices, student expressions of agency, and assessment. She teaches first-year writing and writing tutor training courses.
