Doug Sheldon’s research examines the role literary pedagogy in ESL writing instruction as well as occurrence and representation of second language use within Modern/Postmodern American fiction. In partnership with The Society for the Study of Midwestern Literature, Prof. Sheldon also examines Midwestern identity and its connection to first and second languages.
