Our students live in a world where they are continuously surrounded by intellectual borrowing in ways that normalizes the practice for them, such as in music and memes. If this is the case, plagiarism teaching should step away from the focus of plagiarism as theft, and change to focusing on the advantages citing the origins of our ideas offers us. (With Jim Drown.)
