Congratulations to Luis Urrea, whose collection of short stories "The Water Museum" has just been nominated for the 2016 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. It's one of five nominees selected from almost 500 books submitted by their publishers. The winner will be announced in April (and will receive $15,000).
