Lennard Davis Named Researcher of the Year

Lennard Davis, Distinguished Professor of English, disability and human development, and medical education, was named a 2018 UIC Researcher of the Year.

Dr. Davis was recognized for his groundbreaking work in the field of disability studies in a campus-wide event on February 6, 2018 to honor the Researchers, Inventors, and Scholars of the Year. His 2015 book Enabling Acts: The Hidden Story of How the Americans with Disabilities Act Gave the Largest US Minority Its Rights was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award.
